The name duncan is hardly readable. Perhaps you could blend it in some nice 'standard frame'?

This one looks better than your previous one.
+ More space for the textballoons. (In your first one, the text was a bit 'squeezed in')
+ nice backgroundcolors (not to intense, but still some variation.)

Perhaps make the head in the same style as the text in the comic?

Edit: Love the joke too, btw. Very Happy

Re: Let's talk comic strip

The animation with lightning on the background looks a bit odd. perhaps you can
1) find a slowmotion film of lightning on youtube
2) make printscreens of about 10 images in the background
3) make the 10 images your background and have verry little time between the images.

It's quite some work, but it'll look much more like a real storm.

Of course, you should ask the owner for permission. Wink
EDIT: Or, make the movie unrecognizable. (A little color enhancement, mirroring the image, scaling with 1,1 in one direction.)

Your first one looks much better now with one pink background.

How about putten this text above your comics? (just black, no rotated text)
Duncan Donutter ---------------- C Simon Lake

(with the C as a copyright sign en the '----' invisible)

EDIT: this way, you don't have to blend your signature and copyright sign IN the drawings. (Looks slightly messy)

However, I think it would look the best that way, but if you prefer different, who am I to judge?

Very Happy

That background color in frame 2 makes the shirt of duncans friend disappear
AND the eyes were larger in the first strip.

Lets see, can I find something else to complain about, er, feedback on?

I didn't even notice the different eye sizes... I DO like the expression on the friend getting more and more disturbed as Duncan continues!

Re: Let's talk comic strip

Right here is okay for now while I chase the dream. Thanks Leah. What I'm trying to establish here is a funny bloke with birds on his brain that will become a Household name. Rome wasn't built in a day and all that and I've only done four (or five, I can't remember) but I think it will be good to build on this one character (and his mate of course who hasn't even got a name yet) instead of wasting my time with single panel random gags. I'm going to do a proper logo of Duncan next and I may need your help to set up a Zazzle Shop for coffee mugs and tees and stuff? I've seriously got enough Duncan material to last me a lifetime.

yep no problemo with zazzle bedazzle Smile I think the gags will translate very well indeed onto that type of emrchandise, you should set the shop exclusively around gifts for men because then it'll stand out and standing out on that site aint easy and I am sure they are the type of items people will buy as gifts for men - tshirts, mugs, mousemats an so on.

I actually got some money from zazzle recently woop woop £30 Smile

I need to set up a new shop and start again with zazzle,

Meanwhile my latest paint prints are on redbubbl.com, have you seen my latest work?

My prints shop

I am also going to go back to basics and start doing gags again, pen and pencil because I've looked over all my toons and I prefer the way they looked when I knew nowt Smile

See what I mean re checking out my catoon gallery on flickr, got old with new here

I like the quality and resolution of the images. Flickr is also very good. The way I see it all is a way of saving all my work online. What if my Computer dies and I lose it all on my hardrive or I get arrested and go to jail? Actually if the bailiffs came and took my computer and I went to jail I would probably come out with a new Novel so that would be cool as well. Beers on me! Jeffrey Archer does it like that.
