Maybe I prefer not to be able to see what's next to me Wink

Actually thus far it's just the cat. I am very sensitive to the light..hence the mask.

Thanks Rob!

I've been busy on a new episode again. But I still not have a working scanner. It's probably a windows isue. (duh...)

I can probably use my parents scanner somewhere next weekend.

And THEN you have to wait even longer because I need to color them first. Very Happy

Today, I could finally scan the images. They are not yet colored, but after waiting this long, I thought you might want to see them already.

The scroll gets some text in it.

Haha, I love the horse! Talking of scanners, mine is on the blink as well but I've tried it on Windows and Linux now so it's not that. They can be a right pain. These would look great in colour Andries, especially that last frame.

IS ANYBODY GOING TO JOIN USQuestion

Post by Andries on Fri 17 Feb - 10:56

Over the next few days, I hope to place all the colored versions.

I really liked doing the first panel. The second panel could use some more background things and maybe some tablegear.
It's a bit empty.

It's readable regardless if it's a font or handwriting. I'm just glad to see the story revived! Maybe some of our new members will jump in now. Just leave a
post here if you'd like to claim the next spot in this fun adventure!

Its coming on mate, I'd like to see it all laid up as a complete page.

I am interested in what size you draw the originals at?
Are these hand drawn, then scanned, then coloured by software?

Seriously, I'm not after trade secrets, i'd honestly like to find out how EVERYONE goes about it - like if we were all art students in an art class, we could joke and chat with each other and SEE how we each proceed.

anyway, very nice Andries.

I will do a few panels, if you are still looking to continue this - Kathy? Or were you just about to jump in?

I have some other ideas about 'collaboration' i'd like to run past you lot, some time, when i feel more like one of the gang.

Meanwhile - as Simon says Comic Sans is all well and good, but there are many other 'comic' style fonts out there, and some quite decent ones are free.

Its probably worth 'collecting' as many as you can - sometimes i find one font will look better at small or big sizes.

The one i use most is

You can get it free here: fontex.org

Mac, you jump right in. I hadn't planned on doing the next installment. And please, share processes or whatever you'd like with us. I think everyone here loves to see how others create their work. It's a lot of fun to see!

Mac, thank you for the font. I just used it in my cartoon for the AI students paper. (If you want to see it, go to my facebook Razz or check the topic in 'my art' i made about this cartoon. (Don't want to upload the same cartoon over and over again everywhere on the site.))
