Illustrating For Children's Books

Post by billcartoons on Thu 20 Oct - 23:40

I think Leah may have mistakenly remarked that she'd seen my work published with Small World Creations children's books - has anyone worked with them before? My work isn't suitable, but I know some other artists who might be interested in this opportunity.

Cheers,
Bill

I would LOVE to get into children's books! I believe the competition is just as stiff there as any other cartooning or illustration work, but I'm still interested in trying.

It still revolves around the individual style of an artist, though, Kath, it's pure hit-and-miss if a book publisher---and the public---------picks up on your style.

A lot of kid's book publishing stuff I don't really enjoy, but they are still highly successful-------who knows what will take off? Not even the publishers or Editors know, otherwise nothing would ever flop.

True, your style will determine if they (publishers) have an interest in you. I guess getting seen is at least half the battle!

You better hurry up and make a couple of posts, I'm pulling ahead in the race! Basketball
