Incredible vector artwork

Post by Kathy on Tue 11 Jan - 3:38

Many people think of vector as having a "cartoony" look, but I'm here to show you some artists that do incredible things with vector.

This is a gallery of a bunch of different artists, and also shows the mesh behind the scenes.

Many technical illustrations are done in Illustrator as well.

Kathy, If you are interested in Vector work, a great package to use is 'Corel Draw'. Its the only one I use. I have started playing with the idea to do more and have had some interesting results.

It is you that gave me the idea to do some vector stuff when you mentioned that it is good. The Corel package always suprises me of what it is capable with.

Question:
How did you get your avatar to move??????? I have an idea in my head, to mix htmlcodes http://www.htmlcodes.me/ with moving image.

Cool images! I think I'll stick with Illustrator since it's what I have.

You know the scary thing about all this is that young kids are being taught about creating animations, vector art etc. in school so this type of digital art will be fairly common place in a few years unless we can bring something new to the table and I guess that's where humour and creativity really show what we're made of!

I just finished a vector in illusrator, it's a simple character but to look at the doc. info it has well over a couple hundred conections and they must all be closed. I finished my courses last year in photoshop 1. but Illustrator NO, I wanted to learn more.I dedicated a few months to just reading and watching tutorials on youtube.
I got in this game late and that's fine, life gets in the way and all. Put in your 10,000 hours and still there is so much more and if you want to make money with your work, well, you need to know how to use the technology.
Just my opinion, the 1 greatest advantage an older (off and on since childhood) has is years and years of life experiences. You could say "We draw from it."
